KYIV, Oct 30 - If mayoral elections in Kyiv were held in mid-October, then out of all city residents aged 18 and over more than a third would vote for the current mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
"If we calculate the interest in relation to those who decided (in fact, these are the indicators closest to the possible election results, if they were held in mid-October), we get: 36.6% would vote for Klitschko, 18% - for member of parliament (Servant of the People Party faction) Oleksandr Tkachenko, 12.6% - for Andriy Palchevsky, 8.6% - Oleksandr Popov, 8.1% - for Mykola Tomenko, 5.7% - for Boryslav Bereza, 4.7% - for Andriy Illenko, 3.2% - for Volodymyr Bondarenko, 1.2% - for Serhiy Husovsky and other candidates - only 1.5%," KIIS said in a press release on Tuesday.
