KYIV, Oct 7 – The international reserves of Ukraine in September 2019, according to preliminary data, decreased by 2.6%, to $21.438 billion due to significant repayments on government debt, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on its website.
"In general, over the past month, the government and the National Bank paid $1.974 billion (in equivalent) for servicing and paying off state and state-guaranteed debt in foreign currency. Of this amount, $1.224 billion were allocated for servicing and repaying eurobonds, $560.9 million were paid on obligations to the International Monetary Fund, the remaining funds on other obligations to foreign creditors and international financial organizations," the statement said.
