KYIV, Oct 2 – Kyiv's Shevchenkivsky District Court on October 1 ruled to recover UAH 1.539 billion from the former owner of Bank Finance and Credit, Kostiantyn Zhevaho, in favor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to repay the bank's debt on the previously issued refinancing loans, the NBU said on its website.

According to the report, at the same time the court rejected Zhevaho's counterclaim to invalidate the guarantee agreement signed with the NBU.
