KYIV, Aug 19 – Ukrtransgaz and Moldovagaz, together with the gas transportation system operators of other countries, have agreed on the necessary technical solutions to create new import capacities based on the south-north trans-Balkan pipeline system (reverse through the Transit-1 pipeline).
"It is expected that on January 1, 2020 a constant capacity will be created for importing gas from Romania in the amount of 1.5 billion cubic meters per year, regardless of the volume of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. Gas transportation from Isaccea 1-Orlivka will occur along the gas pipelines Rozdilna-Izmail and Shebelynka-Dnipro-Kryvy Rih-Izmail," the company said.
