KYIV, June 5 – Ukraine's direct state debt, being 52.3% of GDP as of late 2018, in 2019 will be cut to 52% of GDP, and by 2022 – to 43% of GDP, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said, describing the goals of the medium-term strategy for managing state debt for 2019-2022 approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday.
"We have not just planned, we will achieve these indicators: in 2019 we will reduce the debt and GDP ratio to 52% and the plan for the next three years is to reduce it to 43% by 2022," she said, introducing the document.
