KYIV, May 22 – The European Union officially launched EU4Digital, a new program supporting the digital economy and society in Ukraine.
EU4Digital is a regional program for the Eastern Partnership countries, which will last from January 2019 to December 2021, funded by the European Union in the amount of EUR 11 million and another EUR 1 million from the World Bank.
EU4Digital Program Team Leader Arturas Piliponis said at a press briefing on Wednesday that the European Union is trying to spread the advantages of the single digital market to Eastern Partnership countries via the provision of assistance in the amount of EUR 12 million in total for the development of the potential of the digital economies of six countries – Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Moldova.
