KYIV, May 20 – Ukraine can count on the EU's resolute support for reforms, and the EU is looking forward to working with new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on energy sector reforms, EU Commission's Vice President in charge of the Energy Union and EU Space Policy Maros Sefcovic said.
"Seeing Ukraine's progress on energy efficiency, I'm hopeful we can also succeed on the electricity market liberalisation, the unbundling of Naftogaz of Ukraine, and trilateral gas talks [with Russia]," he wrote on Twitter after a meeting with the new Ukrainian president in Kyiv on May 20.
