KYIV, Jan 18 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national energy company, expects court rulings would be issued before April in the Netherlands, which would allow starting selling frozen assets of Russia's Gazprom to execute the award of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce to collect $2.6 billion.
"Other similar hearings have already been held in another jurisdiction - in the Netherlands. We are waiting for an award within the next two months. I am still very optimistic about this. We are awaiting decisions of the courts, which in those jurisdictions will allow the executors to start selling the property and transfer the relevant funds in favor of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny," Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
