KYIV, Jan 10 – Ukraine may be able to dismiss its $12 billion lawsuit against Gazprom if the Russian gas company agrees to extend natural gas transit contract beyond 2019, an official said Thursday.

Andriy Kobolev, the head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national energy company, will join trilateral gas negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the European Union in Brussels on January 21.
