KYIV, Sept 13 - The volume of hryvnia deposits in the banking system of Ukraine in August decreased by 4.1%, to UAH 494.49 billion, including deposits of the population - by 1.3%, to UAH 251.74 billion, business - by 6.8%, to UAH 242.75 billion, according to the website of the NBU.
"In the conditions of increasing volatility in the currency market and devaluation of the hryvnia, the volume of foreign currency deposits increased: business - by 2.1%, to $5.22 billion, the population - by 2.2%, to $8.71 billion," the central bank said.
