MOSCOW, Aug. 8 - Gazprom reduced the volume of gas it exports to Europe via Ukraine and Belarus at the beginning of the current week, according to data from European gas transmission operators.
Transit declarations through Ukraine on the Uzhgorod corridor amounted to 127 million cubic meters (mcm) on Tuesday, down 14% from actual shipment of 147 mcm on Monday. The first maintenance work on the Uzhgorod corridor is not scheduled to begin until August 14. Meanwhile, there have been no mishaps or maintenance shutdowns on the gas transmission system in central Russia, gas industry sources told Interfax.
