Journal Staff Report

KYIV, July 13 – There has been considerable vegetation loss in Russia-occupied Crimea, Ukraine's Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) has said.

The negligent attitude of the Russian officials to the unique natural environment in the northern, central and eastern parts of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea could result in the mass extinction of the plant and animal world, soil erosion, fires. The destruction of the peninsula's ecosystems and ecological catastrophe could be the result," the ministry's press service said.
