BRUSSELS, July 12 – President Petro Poroshenko does not expect any immediate results from the forthcoming meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, on July 16.
"I do not like to give any forecast, but I'll have a try. Usually I am a very optimistic person. But, unfortunately, I do not expect any positive surprise from Helsinki – and this is bad news. But, at the same time, there is also good news – there will be no negative surprises," Poroshenko said during the Georgia-Ukraine panel as part of the NATO Summit in Brussels on Thursday, July 12.
