KYIV, July 5 – Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman warned on Thursday he may seek to deploy the armed forces to fight rampant smuggling amid massive border control failures and growing illegal trade.
"It won't be long before I appeal to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to hold the exercises out there. I cannot stand it," the prime minister said at a government meeting, commenting on the information of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov that with the intensification of the fight against smuggling late June vessels with 4,000 containers is staying in neutral waters.
