KYIV, June 13 – A group of Ukrainian defense companies are seeking $12.7 million investment from the government to start production of advanced helicopters, an industry source said Wednesday.

The Kyiv-based aircraft manufacturer Antonov, aircraft engine producer Ivchenko-Progress and Vertikal design bureau jointly designed light multi-purpose KT-112 Kadet helicopter.

“The need for investments in certification and organization of bulk production of the helicopter is estimated at $12.7 million," the source said.
