KYIV, May 11 – Ukraine in January-April 2018 reduced coal production by 14% (by 1.833 million tons) compared to the same period in 2017, to 11.236 million tons.

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry said coking coal production decreased by 6.7% (by 154,100 tons), to 2.159 million tons, steam coal production by 15.6% (by 1.678 million tons), to 9.077 million tons.

In April 2018 coal production rose by 5.8% (by 156,100 tons) compared to the same month in 2017, to 2.856 million tons.
