KYIV, May 10 – A slight decrease in harvest winter crops is possible due to a lack of moisture in soil in southern regions of Ukraine, Head of the agrometeorological department of the Ukrainian weather center Tetiana Adamenko told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Today droughts are seen on the territory of Ukraine, particularly in the south, which primarily refers to winter crops, in the southern districts of Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia regions, where there was no rain for 25-30 days. This is local. Harvest could be smaller in these regions due to a drought," she said.
