KYIV, April 17 – President/CEO of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) Morgan Williams said that corruption is the main obstacle for investment in Ukraine. He pointed out the necessity of creating the anti-corruption court in the country and continuation of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The main obstacle for investment enter Ukraine, in particular in Kharkiv region, is corruption and the inability and unwillingness of courts and the government to react to it, he said at a briefing after the forum entitled "the Ukrainian Economy, Energy Independence and Security, Prospects of Investment in Kharkiv Region and the U.S.-Ukraine partnership" in Kharkiv on Tuesday.
