KYIV, April 12 – Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman asked the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) and the Special Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) to verify media reports that the State Service for Geology and Deposits of Ukraine allegedly issued licenses to develop lithium fields to persons affiliated with power without holding tenders and using uncompetitive principles.
"Today in the morning I have signed a letter to the Prosecutor General's Office and the SAPO asking to conduct a thorough check if the facts published by media took place. If they took place, severe punishment must be seen," he said at a government meeting on Wednesday.
