KYIV, March 14 – The imposing of 25% steel imports duties by the United States would affect supplies of metal products with large added value to the country, but they would not influence exports of raw materials, such as cast iron, Oleksandr Kalenkov, president of Ukrmetallurgprom association, told Interfax-Ukraine.
He said that exports of Ukrainian metal products to the United States in 2017 was around 1.5 million tons, including around 1.3 million tons of cast iron, and the rest of the items were rolled steel (some 130,000 tons of long rolled steel and near 60,000 tons of flat rolled steel).
