KYIV, March 7 – The Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB) has proposed that the customs duty on imports of mineral fertilizers is set to nil, apart for those originated from Russia.
The two-year road map adopted by the association for the improvement of doing agribusiness in Ukraine contains this proposal.
Zero duties would allow liberalizing the mineral fertilizer market, where monopoly results in around UAH 4-5 billion overpaid by farmers every year. It also hinders growth of yield and expansion of gross output.
