KYIV, March 6 - President Petro Poroshenko, in a phone call with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, asked the U.S. to increase pressure against Russia to start the peace process in Donbas.
"Poroshenko pointed out importance of putting further pressure on Russia in order to ensure its proper implementation of the security aspects of the Minsk Agreements. He expressed gratitude for U.S. President Donald Trump's recent decision to extend relevant sanctions against Russia for one year. Vice President Pence emphasized importance of maintaining anti-Russian sanctions until it fully implements the Minsk Agreements and returns Crimea to Ukraine," the website said.
