KYIV, Dec 8 – Parliament passed in the first reading a bill "Buy Ukrainian, Pay to Ukrainians" (bill No. 7206), which in particular introduces the share of local components no lower than 20% in bids submitted to participate in public procurement tenders.
However, some officials criticized the bill as contradicting the association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, as well the country’s obligations while joining the World Trade Organization.
