KYIV, Oct 17 – Ukraine’s imports of goods from Russia rose a whopping 37.2% on year to $4.2 billion in January-August, the State Statistics Service reported.
Ukraine’s increased exports of goods to Russia rose by 17.7% to $2.62 billion in the same period, the service said.
At the same time, in the seven months the service recorded a higher dynamics of indicators: export growth reached 20.9%, while import growth stood at 38.7%. Taking into account these and other previously published data, in August this year exports of goods from Ukraine to Russia remained approximately at the level of last year's August, while imports grew by 29.6%.
