KYIV, Sept 18 - Representatives of the French Senate and the French Foreign Ministry made a working visit to Donetsk region on Thursday, September 14, as part of a joint delegation with Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Heorhiy Tuka, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the press center of the ATO headquarters has reported.
"The French senators led by the leader of the France-Ukraine friendship group of the French Senate, Herve Maurey, visited the Mayorske checkpoint, where they got acquainted with the procedure for crossing the contact line. Foreign guests also met with the leadership of military civil administrations and examined the work of nongovernment media in the region. Traditionally European politicians visit the front-line Avdiyivka, a peaceful city that was affected by the war," reads a report posted on the Facebook page of the headquarters on Friday, September 16.
