KYIV, Sept. 5 – Ukraine's forex reserves as of early September 2017 totaled $18.03 billion, which is $240 million or 1.3% more than in the previous month, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) published tentative data on Tuesday.
Since early 2017, the reserves expanded by 16%.
The NBU said that payment of $351.5 million for the placement of currency-pegged government domestic loan bonds and NBU's currency interventions, after which net purchase of foreign currency totaled $234 million, contributed to the amount of the reserves.
