KIEV, July 14 - Ukraine cut coal production 2.9% year-on-year in January-June 2017, to 18.436 million tons, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine, quoting preliminary data.
Coking coal output fell by 24.7%, to 3.387 million tons, but production of steam coal increased by 3.8%, to 15.049 million tons.
State run mines reduced production by 21.5%, to 2.369 million tons, with coking coal output down 47.6%, to 449,900 tons and steam coal output falling 11.1%, to 1.919 million tons.
