KIEV, July 11 – Ukraine will start collecting fingerprints and photos of foreign visitors coming to the country, President Petro Poroshenko’s press service said.
The National Security and Defense Council, led by Poroshenko, met on Monday to consider the issue, citing the increasing threat of terrorism.
"This is about tightening controls over the entry to, exit from and stay in Ukrainian territory of citizens of other countries: we are introducing biometrics control procedures for all individuals crossing the Ukrainian border," the press service quoted Poroshenko as saying late on Monday.
