KIEV, July 11 – President Petro Poroshenko called on the government to allocate major funds to the procurement and production of state-of-the-art weapons and military hardware for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"A total of UAH 1.6 billion are planned to be allocated for these purposes, production of state-of-the-art armored vehicles, including the Oplot tanks, [...] modern rockets of the Vilkha MRLS, and other pieces of equipment, which would significantly improve and increase capacities of our armed forces, will be established among other things," Poroshenko said at a meeting of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on Monday.
