KIEV, July 10 - President Petro Poroshenko has vetoed bill No. 6382 on extension of the export duty on scrap ferrous metal that had defied Ukraine’s commitment to the World Trade Organization.
The duty was set by the bill in the amount of EUR 30 per ton for two more years, proposing to extend it by one year.
"This is linked to Ukraine's international commitments as a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Iryna Lutsenko, the leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc group, said on Monday at a meeting of the coordination board. “The president asked the parliament to support his amendment."
