KIEV, May 22 - Ukraine’s reserves of anthracite coal fell 0.4% over the past seven days, or by 1,500 metric tons, to 422,000 mt as of May 22, compared with 423,500 mt as of May 15, the energy and coal industry ministry reported Monday.
Ukraine needs about 1 million mt of anthracite stashed before October 15 to survive the 6-month high-demand season, according to the ministry.
