KIEV, Feb. 20 - Ukraine’s stocks of anthracite coal, a key fuel for power generating plants, shrunk rapidly over the past seven days due to a blockade of imports from breakaway regions controlled by pro-Russian separatists.
Ukraine’s stocks of anthracite dropped 4.8% to 802,000 mt as of February 19, compared with 842,000 mt as of February 12, UkrEnergo, the company that runs the country’s power grid, reported Monday.
