KIEV, Feb. 9 – Head of Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office Yuriy Lutsenko said a criminal case has been opened into hooliganism committed by a Verkhovna Rada deputy belonging to the Poroshenko Bloc faction, Oleksiy Honcharenko. The incident occurred near the Germany embassy in Kiev.
"The act of hooliganism near the German embassy in Kiev is being investigated by Kiev's PGO office. A criminal case pursuant to Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism) has been opened. Kiev's PGO office will ensure a complete, objective and unbiased investigation of the act of hooliganism," Lutsenko said on his Facebook page on Thursday.
