Regulator: Romania earthquake didn't impact Ukraine nuke plants

KIEV, Sept. 26 - A recent earthquake in Romania which was felt on Ukrainian territory had no impact on the performance of Ukrainian nuclear power plants, officials said.

"There has been no violation of operating limits at the reactors of the domestic nuclear power plants," Ukraine's State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation said on its website.

The radiation background at the sites of nuclear power plants has not changed. It remains normal, the report said.
