KIEV, May 19 – Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk has called for sobriety in assessing opportunities and benefits of the Eurovision 2017 song contest. He said project proposals should be financially viable.
"Finally, the world knows five examples of transferring the right to host the contest. For example, France in 1960 transferred it to Britain. If we decide to host the contest, we should clearly understand why we do this, what the benefit for the state is," he wrote in the article in the Ekonomichna Pravda (Economic Truth) publication.
