KIEV, Sept. 1 – The water supply will be cut by 50% in most towns of the Luhansk region controlled by militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) from September 2 to 10, the Luhansk regional military-civil administration said.
The regional administration said in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday that the Popasniansky district water canal will slash water supply by 50% to the territory not controlled by Ukrainian authorities from Wednesday until September 10 inclusively due to repair works under way at the electric power line of the Lysychansk thermal power station, which is the only source able to provide the northern Luhansk region with electricity.
