KIEV, April 15 - Ukraine will consume 40 billion cubic meters of gas in 2015, a drop of 20% from two years ago, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said Wednesday.
Ukraine used 42.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014 and 50.4 billion cubic meters in 2013, according to the energy and coal industry ministry.
“Over the past two years we have reduced gas consumption by 10 billion cu m,” Yatseniuk said in a statement before a government meeting. “This means the total consumption will be at 40 billion cu m” in 2015.
