OSCE ambassador calls for monitors to be allowed access to Shyrokyne

KIEV, March 24 – Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, the Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine, has called on each side in the Donbas conflict to respect the ceasefire and create the conditions that will allow OSCE monitors to access the village of Shyrokyne where hostilities are ongoing.

"I call on all sides to stop fighting, respect all provisions of the Minsk package, and allow for the provision of humanitarian aid and access of the OSCE monitors to Shyrokyne," Apakan said in a statement on Monday.
