KIEV, March 18 – State-run national nuclear company EnergoAtom and Poland-based Polenergia International have signed a memorandum of understanding in Kiev to implement the Ukraine-European Union Energy Bridge project, the Ukrainian company reported.
The goal of the memorandum, which was also signed by national energy company Ukrenergo, is to assess the capabilities of and implement the Ukraine-European Union Energy Bridge project, launched as part of the creation of a trans-European energy networks (TEN-E). The project is also a component of the plan to create the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP), which started on the EU's initiative in 2008, the press service said.
