KIEV, March 11 – Core inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 33.2% year-over-year in February 2015 against 26.1% in January 2015 from January 2014 and 22.8% in 2014 from 2013, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday.
Core inflation in February 2015 from January 2015 was 5.4%, which is significantly higher compared to monthly indicators in the five previous months, which ranged around 2.3%-2.8%.
Core inflation excludes short-term erratic price changes influenced by administrative, eventful and seasonal factors. This means price dynamics do not include changes in prices for food and energy.
