KIEV, Feb. 23 – Ukraine on Monday accused Russia's Gazprom on Monday of failing to supply natural gas that was paid for in advance.
Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national energy company, asked Gazprom to explain why it had delivered only 47 million cubic meters of gas on February 22, which is short of 114 million cu m that had been ordered.
“Naftogaz considers such a failure to deliver on the order as a violation of the contract for the supply of gas between the companies,” the Ukrainian company said in a statement.
