KIEV, Nov. 24 – The U.S. government has assigned nearly $320 million in assistance to Ukraine this year in addition to the $1 billion sovereign loan guarantee issued in May 2014, the White House press service reported.
According to the report, the U.S. government has committed over $118 million in equipment and training to Ukraine's security forces to help Ukraine better monitor and secure its border. This assistance includes the provision of body armor, helmets, vehicles, night and thermal vision devices, heavy engineering equipment, advanced radios, patrol boats, rations, tents, counter-mortar radars, uniforms, first aid equipment and supplies, and other related items.
