BRUSSELS, Sept. 1 - The European parliament will send observers to early parliament elections in Ukraine slated for October 26, President Petro Poroshenko announced.

"Separately we discussed the question of elections that are to be held on October 26 this year. We agreed that observers from the European Parliament will be sent and there is a strong belief that this important component of the political process is supported by the European Union," he said at a Saturday press conference in Brussels.
