KIEV, Aug. 15 – The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has expressed its strong protest over the attempts by the Russian Federation to put Ukraine's nuclear facilities, installations and materials in the temporarily occupied territory (in Crimea and Sevastopol) under Russia's national jurisdiction, and an attempt to apply to them the provisions of the agreement between the Soviet Union and the IAEA dated February 21, 1985.
The Foreign Ministry said in its comment that the Russian side has been handed over a note, which stresses that all nuclear facilities, installations and materials located on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol are the property of Ukraine.
