KIEV, July 2 – Given the growth in current and potential threats to its territorial integrity, Ukraine should take a tough position on the issue of removing the possibility of the basing in the Black Sea of the Mistral helicopter carrier ships built by France for Russia, according to the director of the Defense Express information and analytical company, Serhiy Zhurets.
Commenting on the plans to supply western military ships to Russia along with the sectoral sanctions against Russia awaited by Ukraine, the military expert said that the delivery of the Mistral helicopter carriers to Russia, given the annexation of Crimea by Russia and in the conditions of the conflict started by Moscow in the eastern part of Ukraine, violates the EU code for the export of weapons.
