KIEV, June 18 - Ukraine’s Parliament will vote within the next two days to approve a bill that introduces a state of emergency in the energy sector following Russia’s move to suspend natural gas supplies, an official said Wednesday.
Another bill submitted to Parliament seeks to allow U.S. and European companies to modernize and to operate the country’s natural gas pipelines and gas storage infrastructure.
“The bills were already submitted to Parliament,” Ostap Semerak, a minister without portfolio, told reporters. “They will most likely be this week approved by Parliament.”
