KIEV, Feb. 5 – Over 10,000 Ukrainian patients have participated or are participating today in clinical trials conducted in the country, according to the Clinical Trials Subcommittee of the Health Care Committee of the European Business Association.

"Patients are treated free of charge if they participate in clinical trials. Taking into account the level of income of the public in the country and the absence of the required funds to get expensive treatment, often participation in the clinical trials is the only chance for patients to save their lives," read the report of the association.
