KIEV, Jan. 16 – The leaders of parliamentary opposition factions have said that the vote in Parliament on Thursday was illegitimate and described this as an overthrow of constitutional order in Ukraine and the seizure of power in the country.

"We are appealing to the international community: the regime of [President] Viktor Yanukovych and the Party of Regions has completely destroyed state power in Ukraine. This is nothing else than the overthrow of the constitutional order and the seizure of power in the country," Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk told journalists in Kiev on Thursday.
