KIEV, Jan. 13 – The first commercial launch of a Cygnus cargo freighter to the International Space Station (ISS) using the Antares new middle-class rocket, which is made in cooperation with Ukraine, has been successfully carried out by the United States.

According to the official report from Orbital Sciences Corporation, the Cygnus spacecraft was launched from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia (USA) on Thursday at 2007 Kiev time.
