KIEV, Jan. 10 – Russian banks may grant $6 billion worth of commercial loans to Ukraine for the development of nuclear energy, the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry reported.
"Such agreements were reached at a meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission… In particular, it is proposed to extend the arrangements on organizing in Ukraine the production of nuclear fuel for VVERR-1000 reactors and prepare proposals for the construction of units Nos. 3 and 4 at Khmelnytsky NPP," said Valeriy Muntiyan the government's commissioner for cooperation with Russia, the CIS and EurAsEC countries reads the statement.
